Accountant

Please note that this job is in George. You will have to be living in George to do this job.
Assist Financial Managers in processing of accounting records onto a computerised accounting system resulting in an accurate and complete set of books.
Academic qualifications required:

Matric with accounting as a subject
Obtained/or near completing a B.Com degree or equivalent degree with Accounting as a main subject
Completed articles or experience as a junior accountant

Skills and experience required:

In-depth practical understanding and working knowledge of accounting
Problem solving skills
Advanced MS Excel capabilities
The ability to process routine and non-routine accounting entries
The ability to perform complex accounting reconciliations
Must know the characteristics of an accurate Trial Balance with supporting sub-ledgers
Interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent time management
Must be versatile and adaptable
