ACCOUNTANTWadeville, Gauteng The accountant's main responsibility will be to record and maintain all financial transactions to enable accurate information on the financial position of the entity and financial compliance. The ideal candidate would provide support to the Finance Manager and assist with reporting and data analysis. RESPONSIBILITIES:Accounting up to trial balance (debtors / creditors / general ledger / cashbook)Full responsibility for accurate and complete financial record keepingGP Analysis and interpretation there of (BOM and standard cost understanding)Validate opex, and implement cost savingsStock control and monthly investigation into variancesMaintain open PO list, provision and accrualsMaintain balance sheet, external verification of balances (debtors/creditors/loans)Maintain HP agreementsMaintain asset register and calculate monthly depreciation.Ensure adherence to capex procedure, and correctly account for assetsMaintain wear and tear schedule for tax purposesStatutory compliance: Submission of statutory returns and on time payment thereofPreparation and review of payment packsVAT reconciliation (input / output and control account)VAT audits and submission of relevant documentsImplement and improve financial processes and internal controls (together with finance manager)Cashflow preparation and planningAssist with preparing information for yearly audit and budgetAssist financial manager with analysis of data and key driversCollaborating with stakeholders to provide financial information to support decision makingPreparing bank beneficiaries to be loaded onto bank REQUIREMENTS:B.Comm degreeCompleted articles, with 2 years+ post-article experience TO APPLY:If you would like to apply or receive more information about this position, please:apply online at www.casupport.co.za/vacancies orclick on the "Apply" button orforward a comprehensive CV to ****** with "ACCOUNTANT WADEVILLE" in the subject line. We thank all candidates for their interest and advise that only those under consideration will be contacted.
