Accountant

Requirements:Registration with AGA, SAIPA, or SAICA.Registered Tax Practitioner (advantageous).Experience in compiling and signing off financial statements.Strong knowledge of payroll management, VAT, and other statutory requirements.Excellent communication and client service skills.Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines efficiently.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Meeting deadlines.Key Responsibilities:Compile and sign off financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.Manage the preparation and submission of VAT returns.Handle monthly payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.Maintain accurate financial records for monthly and annual clients, providing regular updates and reports.Assist clients with annual returns and other statutory submissions.Provide tax-related advice and assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns (if a registered Tax Practitioner).Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.Liaise with clients to ensure financial records are up-to-date and provide guidance on financial best practices.Additional Skills:Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel Partner, Pastel Payroll & HR, Caseware, Sage One Accounting).Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
