Accountant

Key Duties and Responsibilities – Key Performance Indicators:Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts and sole proprietors.Preparation and completion of statutory tax returns:Goods and services tax returns.Income tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals.Dividends tax returns.Prepare tax payments.Tracking tax returns and audits with tax authorities.Provide financial and tax guidance to clients.Training of clients and staff to be competent on accounting systems.Publish timely and accurate monthly financial and progress reports.Processing and maintaining of employee payroll records.Ensure timely bank payments.Writing up and processing bookkeeping entries to trial balance and closing accountAccount reconciliations and clearing accounts.Preparation of cash flows and budgets.Academic Qualifications Required:Tertiary qualification (BCom/ BTech)Skills, Competencies and Experience Required:SAIPA qualified, or working towards SAIPA designation3 - 5 years' related experiencePrevious experience working within an audit/accounting firm (advantageous)Computer Literate (MS Office; SARS, E-Filing, GreatSoft Tax, XERO)Good Communication SkillsBilingual (Afrikaans and English)Own Transport
