Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and maintain the financial records for our group entities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the bookkeeping, preparing and submitting VAT and EMP requirements, and addressing related queries. Additionally, you will be verifying operational data and ensuring that it reconciles with our bank accounts.Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain all bookkeeping records for group entities.Prepare and submit VAT and EMP statutory requirements in compliance with local regulations.Address and resolve any VAT or EMP-related queries promptly.Verify operational data, ensuring accurate reconciliations against bank accounts.Ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.Support external audits by providing requested documentation and insights.Maintain compliance with financial regulations and company policies.Requirements:Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).Strong experience with Sage Pastel Partner accounting software.Expertise in SARS e-filing for VAT and EMP submissions.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.Relevant professional certification is a plus.Preferably SAIPA.Job Types:Full-time, PermanentPay:From R20000,00 per monthEducation:Bachelors (Preferred)License/Certification:SAICA member registration (Preferred)Application Deadline:2024/10/09
