RPO Recruitment's client, a well-established plastic manufacturing company, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Accountant to join their team in Durban.
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Responsibilities Preparing monthly Operations Reports Budget preparation and assistance with with various budgets Management fees, dividends and tax calculations Compiling month end packs Sundry Factory / Distribution cost monthly analysis & processing Updating Waste, R/kg, tonnage, gainshare schedules monthly Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts Managing Profit Estimate File Update & Completing - Distribution & African Closure Income statements Capex – capitalizing/scrapping assets, monthly depreciation Calculations, reconciling, posting HPs, update monthly HP schedule Journal preparation and processing General housekeeping and filing Any other ad hoc related duties when required Requirements BCom Accounting Degree 2-3 years' relevant work experience Be highly computer literate (Excel) SAP experience or knowledge would be advantageous Ability to use own initiative and work with minimum supervision Able to work flexible working hours (overtime when/if needed) Able to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines Confident, independent person who is a fast learner and a team player Assertive, logical thinker and strong relationship building skills Be enthusiastic, positive and self-energised An ability to adapt to change quickly and effectively Benefits Market-related salary RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
