My client is currently seeking an Accountant to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in managing financial processes, reporting, and analysis.
This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.
Key Responsibilities: Month-End Close: Process journal entries and ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end tasks.
Reconciliations and Analysis: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analyze income statements for variances.
Inter-company Transactions: Balance inter-company loans and prepare monthly Group charges and invoicing for subsidiaries.
VAT and Payments: Prepare VAT submissions for support services and process foreign payments .
Reporting: Assist with flash reporting, monthly accounts reporting, and quarterly reporting.
Perform budget vs. actual variance analysis and provide insights to management.
Forecasts and Budgets: Assist with the preparation and analysis of forecasts and budgets.
Audit Support: Address internal and external audit queries with accuracy and efficiency.
Departmental Support: Collaborate with departmental management to resolve queries and provide financial guidance.
Requirements: A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3 years' experience as an Accountant Strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
