A leading global provider of innovative digital customer communications and document management solutions is currently seeking an Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager and Finance Head, this position will be responsible for assisting in the production of financial statements, analysing financial reports, and implementing accounting methods and policies.
We are looking for an experienced, focused individual, with strong communication, technology, and analytical abilities, to undertake all aspects of accounting and perform special projects as required.
Duties:Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structures.Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.Assist in updating and maintaining supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts as requested.Support budget and forecasting activities.Respond to inquiries from the Finance Head, Accounting Manager, and other finance and organizational managers, regarding financial results, special reporting requests, and the like.Collaborate with the corporate finance team to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.Support the finance team with special projects and workflow process improvements.Ensure a comprehensive understanding of overall accounting operations.Maintain proficiency in accounting systems or be willing to learn (Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or related systems).Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.Demonstrate thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles (GAAP & IFRS).
Qualifications & Skills:3+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.National Diploma or undergraduate Degree in Finance.
