Accountant

My client is currently seeking an Accountant to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in managing financial processes, reporting, and analysis.This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.Key Responsibilities:Month-End Close: Process journal entries and ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end tasks.Reconciliations and Analysis: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analyze income statements for variances.Intercompany Transactions: Balance intercompany loans and prepare monthly Group charges and invoicing for subsidiaries.VAT and Payments: Prepare VAT submissions for support services and process foreign payments.Reporting:Assist with flash reporting, monthly accounts reporting, and quarterly reporting.Perform budget vs. actual variance analysis and provide insights to management.Forecasts and Budgets: Assist in the preparation and analysis of forecasts and budgets.Audit Support: Address internal and external audit queries with accuracy and efficiency.Departmental Support: Collaborate with departmental management to resolve queries and provide financial guidance.Requirements:A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3 years experience as an AccountantStrong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
