Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION: ACCOUNTANT My client, a leader in the manufacturing and retail industry and part of a listed group is looking for a strong, vivacious, and robust individual in the role of Accountant.
Minimum BCom degree.
Must have solid 4-6 years experience in an Accounting role within the manufacturing industry.
Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English (read, write and speak).
Must have an excellent management of people performance experience.
Will work hand-in-hand with Group Financial Manager.
Must be willing to work in a fast and demanding work environment.
Must be willing to go the extra mile in getting the job done.
Must be success-driven and career orientated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for all accounting and management accountantsMaintain control sheet for local & foreign capital contractsForeign creditors payments and reconsCheck and approve local creditor recons and follow up on reconciling itemsResponsible for part of month-end journalsGeneral Ledger reconsPreparation and maintenance of monthly Management Accounts (including SAP recon, queries, and trial balances)Part of quarterly and annual Financial Reporting, working closely with the auditors and rest of finance team KEY STRENGTHS / ABILITIES: Able to work autonomously as well as part of a teamMust be energetic, active and a go-getterAdaptive and creative to meet deadlinesHigh level of attention to detailStrong work ethicExceptional communication skills MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE SAP experienceBCom Degree4 6 years experienceOwn transport
