Accountant

My client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial procedures and be adept at handling various accounting responsibilities. This role is based in Wadeville, Johannesburg East.Key Responsibilities:Compile monthly reports on wage workers hours per division.Analyze and correct general ledger allocations as needed.Prepare monthly financial forecasts and management statements.Complete CAPEX documents and prepare payment packs for suppliers.Update and correct unit of measure (UOM) and inventory costs.Issue expense stock to various divisions and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset registers.Review depot queries and assist with creditor reconciliation for export divisions.Monitor order supply progress and provide internal audit support, including depot audits and stock take verifications.Assist with stock takes, generate variance reports, and confirm results in the system.Circulate daily goods in transit reports and monitor monthly stock takes for all divisions.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.Completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles (non-negotiable)3+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
