Accountant

Responsibilities: Ensure monthly bookkeeping is completed and is up to date for clients. This includes data capturing allocations and reconciliation of bank accounts. Ensure that management accounts, budgets, and cash flows are prepared and completed every month for clients. Manage payroll and PAYE for clients. Complete VAT submissions for clients on a bi-monthly and on monthly basis. Ensure that EMP501 submissions are up to date for clients. Complete tax submissions for clients on a bi-annual basis. Submit and ensure workman's compensation is up to date for clients. Submit company and personal income tax to SARS on an annual basis. Assist clients with ad hoc accounting support, including tax immigration submissions, CIPC, and business evaluations. Assist clients with SARS disputes and queries if they arise. Assist clients with SARS registration. This includes submitting statutory returns to SARS. Assist with client audits and reviews. Provide reporting to directors and senior managers through monthly record keeping. Proactively recommend things to clients that you believe will resolve an issue or concern they have. Provide financial insight into the clients business and help them understand their financial risks, their cashflow forecast, and their operating profit so that they can make effective business decisions. Requirements: BCom Accounting Sciences or similar. At least three (3) years experience. Computer literate: Previous experience with financial accounting systems especially Sage and Draftworx. Microsoft (Excel, word, outlook, etc) E-filing experience. Remuneration: R15 000 R18 000 per month.
