Property Accountant PositionReference: JHB007285-CW-1Property concern, based in Durban, is looking for a self-motivated Accountant to join their diverse finance team. A good team and a challenging role.Duties & ResponsibilitiesQualifications and experience:Matric essential and a completed BCom Accounting/similar essentialBCom Honors advantageousAccpac experience advantageousStrong Excel skills advantageousExperience within a property environment highly advantageousDuties:Assume responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of accounting functions which includes preparation of monthly management reports, preparation of forecasts and budgets, cashflow management, and ensuring timely invoicing of clients and collection of payments, management of finance staff, overseeing of annual audit, submission of statutory returns, intercompany transactions.Responsible for overseeing various administrative functions: contract management with clients and sub-contractors, company secretarial, insurance applications and claims, asset management, filing of physical and electronic records, B-BBEE and CSD compliance.Ensure the effective running of the office which entails overseeing staff as well as appointed service providers.Oversee the Payroll and HR functions including on-boarding, off-boarding, contract management, vacancy administration, participation in Africa HR Council, monthly payroll management, policy preparation and review, medical aid and Group Risk management, updating and management of platforms.Participate in the procurement team for proposal and tender purposes which includes proposal and bid preparation.Establish and maintain effective communication with other management members, clients, and sub-contractors.Contribute to the periodic review of team processes and procedures.Attributes required:LeadershipCustomer / Client mind-setCommunicationAdaptability / AgilityAdvisory Mind-set / Trusted AdvisorBusiness AcumenFinancial AcumenEntrepreneurial SpiritPackage & RemunerationR45 000 - R52 000 - Monthly
