Accountant

Our client is looking for an Accountant to join there team.The Accountant assumes responsibility for recording and Maintaining the company's financial transactions such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices and payment.ResponsibilitiesUpdate and maintain the General Ledger Reconciliation of entries into Sage Evolution Processing and reconciliation of client/supplier Accounts Processing and reconciliation of Accounts Payable, when required Processing and reconciliation of Petty Cash accounts Processing payments and sending proof of payments Ensuring the accurate recording of variable and fixed operating expenses Monthly participation and verification of stationary and spare parts stock counts Ad hoc duties as required by the Financial Manager from time to time SkillsGood communication and co-operation skills Strong administrative skills High attention to detail Produce work with a high level of accuracy. Manage time effectively by setting priorities through productive time management. Planning and organizational skills Understand financial terms in the business process. Work effectively under pressure QualificationAccounting/ bookkeeping experience Solid understanding of T accounts debits and credits and Account Payable / Receivable principles IT knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel Knowledge of Sage Evolution Others: English – Good level of English language, both written and spoken Preferably BCom degree or similar or studying towards
