Accountant

Accountant Minimum Requirements: Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Relevant degree or certification.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
Record daily transactions from bank statements.
Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheet schedules on a monthly basis.
Monitor and maintain cash flow for individual properties.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue accounts.
Reconciliation Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Reporting Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Compliance Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and hospitality industry standards.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Collaboration Work closely with management and other departments to provide financial insights and support.
Software Utilization Utilize accounting and other software (e.g., Xero, eFTSure, Dext, Mews).
Stay updated on new software and tools that enhance financial operations.
