ResponsibilitiesNEOC People is recruiting an Accountant for a leading accountancy firm that provides comprehensive financial services to clients across multiple industries. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and proactive individual to be part of a growing firm with the potential to evolve into a management role. The position is fully remote, but occasional in-person meetings or events in the Centurion area will be required.Key Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring financial compliance with VAT, SARS, and other regulatory requirements.Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and reports for clients.Oversee bookkeeping, payroll, and reconciliation processes.Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to clients and management.Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy.Collaborate with the internal team on projects and reporting matters.Innovate and introduce improvements in the financial management processes for more complex client accounts.Minimum RequirementsQualifications:Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Completion of SAICA or SAIPA articles is essential.Xero certification or substantial experience with Xero is non-negotiable.Skills & Experience:At least 2+ years of relevant work experience within an accounting firm is highly desirable.Strong understanding of accounting principles, VAT, and tax regulations.Afrikaans proficiency is required for internal communication.
