Accountant

Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring financial compliance with VAT, SARS, and other regulatory requirements.Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and reports for clients.Oversee bookkeeping, payroll, and reconciliation processes.Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to clients and management.Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy.Collaborate with the internal team on projects and reporting matters.Innovate and introduce improvements in the financial management processes for more complex client accounts. Minimum Requirements: Qualifications: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Completion of SAICA or SAIPA articles is essential.Xero certification or substantial experience with Xero is non-negotiable.
Skills & Experience: At least 2+ years of relevant work experience within an accounting firm is highly desirable.Strong understanding of accounting principles, VAT, and tax regulations.Afrikaans proficiency is required for internal communication.
While candidates can respond in English, they must be able to comprehend Afrikaans for team interactions.Highly analytical with the ability to solve problems and think independently.Experience working with multiple clients across various industries is a plus.
