This role will report to the Finance & Operations Manager and offers the opportunity to develop a career as a finance professional in a global business.The responsibilities of this role include:Day-to-day recording of transactions into the accounting systemDaily updating of cash books for bank accounts across all companiesMonthly bank reconciliations of bank accounts across all companiesAllocation of payments to accounts payableWeekly and monthly accounts payable reporting to the Finance ManagerPreparation of weekly accounts payable scheduleAllocation of receipts against remittance advice to accounts receivableWeekly and monthly accounts receivable reporting to the Finance ManagerAssisting the FinOps Team in accounts receivable chasing and managingPreparing and importing weekly and monthly client billing into the accounting systemPosting of weekly temp payroll journals into the accounting systemProcessing monthly RSA payroll in Sage Payroll ProfessionalPosting of monthly permanent staff payroll journals into the accounting systemPosting of month end journals into the accounting systemUpkeep of all balance sheet account reconciliationsAssisting the FinOps Team with weekly temp payroll preparation and processingPreparation and submissions of quarterly VAT returns for all companiesAssisting the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly management accounts for all companiesAdhoc bookkeeper related tasks as required by Finance ManagerThis role requires the following qualifications and experience:BComm Accounting, BComm Financial Accounting or BComm Management Accounting degree or equivalentCompleted SAIPA/SAICA ArticlesMinimum 2 years post articles experienceProven RSA payroll processing experienceExperience working on Sage Payroll Professional advantageousUK payroll processing experience advantageousExperience working on Xero advantageousThe incumbent that would be the right fit for this role will have the the following qualities and characteristics:Great attention to detailHas an analytical mind and a love for numbersHigh level of Excel and Google Sheets proficiencyGood time management skillsGood written and verbal communications skillsAbility to work autonomously on day-to-day tasksEager to learn and develop accounting skillsRemuneration Package:Basic salary of R300000 to R360000 annually depending on experienceQuarterly bonus scheme post probationCompany medical aid contribution after 12 months
