Job Description Futuregrowth Asset Management is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for managing and preparing financial transactions, analysing data and preparing financial reports. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Purpose of the position
The accountant role is a dynamic one with a multitude of responsibilities within the Finance team and includes future growth potential.
Key responsibilities of the position Preparing and maintaining financial records and documents accurately and timeously;Responsibility for accounting processes and tasks (payments/fees/general ledger/account reconciliations);Co-ordinating and liaising with internal parties to support intercompany activities;Monitoring and analysing financial data to identify discrepancies;Preparing/assisting with the preparation of financial and departmental reports/budgets/annual financial statements;Assisting with the preparation of company taxes;Ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines affecting the finances of the company.Knowledge and experience required Skills, know-how and experience:Solid knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles and practices;Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, and an advantage if able to work with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Great Plains.Technical/ professional qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting with Post Graduate Diploma or Honours in Accounting or similar;Completed articles or with at least 3-5 years' work experience in a similar role in the financial sector.Key behaviours and competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;Strong attention to detail and accuracy;Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;Self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet department/job objectives and deadlines independently;Strong verbal and written communication skills;Ability to work in a pressured environment.Recruitment process and closing dates
