Accountant

Key Responsibilities:Overseeing all the financial aspects of the retail storesOverseeing all financial aspects of the licensing company.Overseeing 1 dedicated clerk for the mall stores to capture the cash book, check systems sales to bank deposits, capture creditors and manage debtors.Reviewing all payments, wages, store salaries and head office salaries.Passing journals, VAT recon, GL/payroll system recon, reconcile TB, prepare management accounts, analyse and present to the directors.Preparing the annual budget.Meeting with insurance broker annually, evaluate risk vs cost and present to directors.Overseeing COIDA, Employment Equity/SDL, EMP501s/IRP5s, CIPC submissions.Assist in the rental portfolio by reviewing lease offers, agreements, summarising thereof and arranging bank guarantees.Be the key contact with auditors and SARS.Ideal candidates have completed a BCom degree as well as their SAICA or SAIPA articles and have 2 years post articles experience.Detailed orientated, conscientious, diligent, responsible and ability to work independently without being micromanaged.Problem solver, can-do attitude, come to management with solution options, critically discuss pros and cons, make their recommendation, implement joint/authorised decision.Requirements:SAIPA/SAICAAt least 3 years Accounting experienceRetail industry experience advantageous
