Accountant

Job DescriptionA large asset management company is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Accountant to join their finance team. You'll be responsible for a multitude of deliverables within the team. The role includes future growth potential.Responsibilities:Preparing and maintaining financial records and documents accurately and timeouslyResponsible for accounting processes and tasks (payments/fees/general ledger/ account reconciliations)Co-ordinating and liaising with internal parties to support intercompany activitiesMonitoring and analysing financial data to identify discrepanciesPreparing/assisting with the preparation of financial and departmental reports/budgets/annual financial statementsAssisting with the preparation of company taxesEnsuring compliance with regulations and guidelines affecting the finances of the companyRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting with Post Graduate Diploma or Honours in Accounting or similarCompleted articles or with at least 3-5 years' work experience in a similar role in the financial sectorSolid knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles and practicesProficiency in using Microsoft ExcelAn advantage if able to work with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Great Plains
