They are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities: Statutory Returns: Handle CIPC Annual Returns. Manage SARS Tax Returns, including: VAT-201: Monthly calculation, review, and SARS audits. Income Tax Return IT14 & IT14SD: Preparation and submission. Provisional Tax IRP6: Calculation and submission. Annual Payroll Reconciliation: EMP501, IRP5s, and reconciliation and review of annual financial statements. Complete STATS SA Returns. Operational Duties: Liaise with third parties regarding legal matters and the review/audit of financial statements. Manage relationships with insurance providers regarding assets. Coordinate with banks for guarantees and general operational requirements. Prepare and review asset sale/purchase agreements. Oversee budgets and actuals on an annual and monthly basis. Develop and implement tax planning strategies. Plan weekly cash flow. Review weekly local payments. Process foreign payments. Review accounting transactions/documents processed by the credit controller. Prepare financial statements and management statements and attend to any SARS audits/reviews. Conduct monthly reporting and general operational reporting as required. Implement and review internal accounting controls. Assist with the completion and review of tender documentation. Local Companies: Conduct monthly group reporting, including loan accounts, assessed losses, and group investments. Review all group company financials before submission to the auditor/reviewer. Liaise with third parties for the review/audit of the groups financial statements. Assist with group tax planning. Provide general operational reporting and assistance as required. Qualifications and Skills Needed: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Completed SAIPA Articles. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
