Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide company with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring company compliant with all tax regulations.
Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting transactionsPrepare budget forecastsPublish financial statements in timeHandle monthly, quarterly and annual closingsReconcile accounts payable and receivableEnsure timely bank paymentsCompute taxes and prepare tax returnsManage balance sheets and profit/loss statementsReport on the company's financial health and liquidityAudit financial transactions and documentsReinforce financial transactions and documentsReinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessaryComply with financial policies and regulationsRequirements and skills:
Matric with Financial Degree / QualificationAdditional certification (SAIPA or CIMA or relevant)Relevant work experience as an AccountantExcellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including GAAPHands-on experience with accounting solftwareAdvanced MS Excell skills (VLookups & Pivot tables)Experience with general ledger functionsStrong attention to detail and good analytical skillsTeam playerThis is a great opportunity if you are up for a challenge.
