Duties and Responsibilities Compilation of audit file – resolving audit queriesPrepare monthly VAT returns and ensure timely filing of these returnsPreparation of Import Vat and WHT and tax schedulesMaintain Fixed asset registerPreparation of monthly management AccountsEnsure Inter- company transactions are correct and up to dateUnderstand and prepare Annual Financial StatementsPreparation of budgetsPrepare cashflow forecastsAnalysing trial balance account balances and movements with the goal of ensuring accuracy and completeness of the financial information.Answer ad-hoc queries in relation to your areas of responsibility.Preparing trial balances Experience & Qualification A Finance related qualificationRequires knowledge and experience applying IFRS.A minimum of three years' experience as an accountantStrong numerical skillsExcellent working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel (intermediate to advance)Excellent time management skillsGood verbal & written communication skillsStrong administration skillsPrevious exposure to an ERP systemCompetencies Required Team collaborator & passionateAnalyticalAccurate & proactiveAble to problem solve & self-manageAble to handle pressure wellWilling to learn and develop Please note: The Cape Union Mart Group is committed to transformation.
