Accountant (Food Manufacturing Industry/Fmcg)

Position Title: Accountant Location: Centurion Division: Finance Reporting To: Finance Manager Employee Group: Permanent Main Purpose Manage and report on financial activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company goals, playing a vital role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities Financial Statements Preparation: Prepare financial statements and monthly/quarterly reports.
Gather and input data into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and rectifying discrepancies.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable accurately and timely.
Review invoices and manage payment schedules.
Ledger Maintenance: Update ledgers regularly and conduct monthly reconciliations.
Budget Preparation: Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts, collaborating with department heads.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with financial regulations and assist in audits.
Communication and Collaboration: Work with various departments to gather financial information and provide insights.
Key Work Relationships Internal: Finance Department, Operations, Sales, HR, and other stakeholders.
External: Contractors and service providers.
Role-Specific Requirements Qualifications: Bachelors in Accounting or Finance; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are advantageous.
Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing.
Knowledge: Proficient in accounting software (Sage 200 Evolution) and Microsoft Office Suite.
