Accountant PositionYour client, an accounting firm, is currently seeking the services of an Accountant to join their offices in Durbanville.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforming customer accounts on XeroPreparation of monthly management accountsPreparation of annual financial statementsPreparation of month-end and year-end reconciliationsLiaising with customers regarding their business and assisting them in making financial decisionsManagement of annual audits (where applicable)Payroll processingBi-annual employer reconciliationsWorkman's compensations and RMA submissionsCalculations of provisional tax and income tax (companies and individuals)Submissions of VAT201, EMP201, ITR14, ITR12, IRP6Other administrative tasksDesired Experience & QualificationAccounting DegreeCompleted SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA articles.Good understanding of financial accounting and taxation with practical experience with:SARSSystems and processesEMP501 reconciliationsProvisional tax calculationsDrafting of AFS and year-end processes, working papers, and journals.Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software Xero and Market Place.Experience in managing a team of 1 – 2 team members/clerks.Experience in reviewing management accounts, financial statements, and financial/SARS letters.
Experience in client communication, interfacing, and meetings.Excellent written and spoken skills.Not hesitant to give advice and trust own judgment.Excellent planning and organizing skills.Responsible and deadline-driven.Time management abilities.Afrikaans and English proficient.Package & RemunerationMarket Related
