About the job Accountant / BookkeeperOur client, a dynamic and growing transport company committed to excellence in logistics, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper with HR and Payroll expertise to join their dedicated team.Responsibilities:Bookkeeping:Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.Prepare Monthly Credit Card Reconciliation.Purchasing of Company Groceries and Consumables.Managing and reviewing filing and office systems.Administer Stock Control system.Liaison with Suppliers.Prepare invoices for approval before payment.Payroll Administration:Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Prepare and process payroll, including tax calculations and benefit deductions.Address employee payroll-related inquiries.Payroll preparation by providing relevant and accurate data, like absences and leave.HR Support:Manage HR functions such as employee onboarding and offboarding.Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies.Support HR initiatives and projects as needed.Maintain and update HR databases (Employee records, leave records, work rosters, disciplinaries, etc.).Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures.Process employee requests and provide relevant information timeously.Co-ordinate any training requests to Management.Provide orientations for new employees and the drawing up of new employee contracts.Coordinate & compile incident reports if needed.Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.Reporting:Generate financial reports and statements for management review.Prepare and submit statutory reports related to payroll and HR.Requirements:Proven experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper with HR and Payroll responsibilities.Management experience or previous leadership role.Must be able to run the entire admin department for the company.Solid understanding of accounting principles and payroll regulations.Proficient in accounting software.Knowledge of HR processes and regulations.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Relevant certification in bookkeeping or payroll.Experience in Human Resource processes.Experience in Payroll (Essential).8+ years of experience in a similar role.Benefits:Competitive salary R 30,000 - R 40,000 monthly CTC.NOTE: Positions get filled within 3 days.
