DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS: Join a prestigious global Company in the medical industry as an Accountant. This role is centered around overseeing and managing accounts payable, with a strong emphasis on forex transactions and working with multiple cost centres. We seek a finance professional with robust accounting knowledge, particularly in balance sheet management, income statements, and accruals. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance 5 years relevant Accounting experience Strong experience in Accounts Payable Experience with SAP ERP System advantageous Strong experience with accounts payable Extensive experience with forex transactions Proven track record of working with multiple cost centres Deep understanding of balance sheet, income statement, and accruals Ability to work independently and manage time effectively RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee and manage the accounts payable function Handle forex transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations Reconcile accounts payable ledgers to ensure accuracy Monitor and manage payments to suppliers Communicate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers Prepare and present financial reports related to accounts payable Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are accurately stated Prepare income statements and ensure all transactions are correctly accounted for Manage accruals and ensure they are accurately recorded Assist with B-BBEE annual audit Assist with annual external audit SOFT SKILLS/ADDITIONAL INFO: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proactive and able to take initiative Strong organizational and time management skills Do you see yourself as the successful Accountant – Accounts Payable at this leading Company?
