Do you have what it takes?We are looking for an Account Manager for Sales/Business Development who will develop and implement the strategy of penetrating an assigned territory in the Government Vertical in South Africa, including National, Provincial, State, and Local Government, as well as Non-Profit Organisations with AWS Services and Solutions.As an Account Manager at Amazon Web Services, you will have the exciting opportunity to promote growth and shape the future of emerging technology in the Education industry within South Africa. Your responsibilities will include increasing adoption and market penetration into small, medium, and large accounts in the Education vertical. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate strong solution selling and business development capabilities, along with a deep understanding of how CxO and cloud architects communicate.This individual should be prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on both revenue and commitment targets, showing a track record of building and closing new business opportunities.Key job responsibilitiesDrive revenue and market share in a defined territory to meet or exceed quarterly revenue and commitment targets.Develop and execute against a territory plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust sales pipeline.Manage numerous customer accounts concurrently and strategically.Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS for Government with a specific focus on modernization and innovation engagements.Analyze sales metrics and KPI data from your territory to help evolve your strategy.Accelerate customer adoption through education, focused engagements, and marketing events.Work with our AWS partner network to manage their pipelines, amplify their efforts, and drive adoption in pursuit of servicing your customers.Assist customers in identifying use cases for priority adoption of AWS, as well as best practices and thought leadership in implementations.Develop long-term strategic relationships and earn trust within your key accounts.Create and implement sales programs and tools that increase performance within your territory.Work with customers on training, skills, and Proserve interventions to drive adoption of AWS.Maintain excellent administration, including salesforce hygiene, and weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, account plans, and other reports.About The TeamAmazon values diverse experiences.
