Account Manager (External Sales Representative)

Job Specifications: Position is responsible for the management of sales and building customer relationships.The position requires selling of technical products and provide supporting services to meet the customer's demands and as result generate sales for the Company.
Tasks and duties may vary but main duties include:Develop a sales plan for growing the company's client baseIdentify top prospects that will be targeted by you for active pursuit.Manage sales and pricing to allow achievement of Company MarginsPerform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needsComplete the company's daily reporting structure detailing factors such as: whereabouts, client potential, prospects, feedback, successes and failures.Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customersIdentify, research and resolve customer issuesEstablish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships with current and new client baseReach out to customer leads through cold callingAnalyse the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reportsExpedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfactionAchieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within scheduleAchieve agreed upon visit and call ratioCoordinate sales effort with team members and other departmentsKeep proper record of all pricing requests and feedbackAttend sales meetings and training sessions with the seriousness requiredComplete any sales related reports as requested by companySupply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interest, competitive activities, and potential for new products and servicesKeep abreast of best practices and promotional trendsContinuously improve through feedbackOther duties as assignedFollow company procedures at all timesAssist with the launch and implementation of new productsAttend to all emails and queries quick and effectivelyImportant Capabilities:Irreproachable honesty and reliabilityProfessional mannerism at all times requiredComputer literacy - must be able to effectively use a variety of desktop and online applicationsClient service orientation, with a pleasant and efficient telephone mannerWell-spoken with an ability to communicate verbally and in writingAttention to detail and accuracy is essentialAbility to work under pressure and to take personal responsibility for resultsAble to work as part of a team in an open plan informal environmentInitiative, organizing and planningStress and pressure managementHigh level of customer service at all timesAdherence to company proceduresInformation and record managementReliability and punctualitySolving and escalation of problematic and possible problematic situations as well as areas beyond knowledge and skill levelCoping with high workload and deadlinesObtainable and accurate feedback to customers at all timesPrioritise at all times especially when under pressureUse initiative and develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstaclesMaximizing company profit when selling – up sellAttend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skillsDesired Experience & QualificationMatric or equivalentA minimum of 2 years sales experienceOwn transportReporting structure: Position reports to (External) Sales Manager
