Minimum requirements for the role:Must have a tertiary qualification in commercial and/or sciences related fieldsMinimum 5 years' experience in a Marketing and Sales function, ideally in Agricultural Chemical commodities industry will be requiredA good technical understanding of Agrochemical applications would be a distinct advantageMust have experience with CRM and MS Office with SAP knowledge advantageousMust have a valid driver's license, own reliable vehicle and be willing to travel to clientsThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Managing a portfolio of key accounts and maintaining existing business.Presenting and broadening the product range at customers.Sourcing new business/client opportunities to ensure sales GP targets are met.Developing and implementing strategies to increase margins and profits.Developing long-term strategic partnerships with key customers, thereby enabling sales growth in these areas.Conducting frequent follow up calls to clients (Minimum 20 visits per week).Ensuring thorough preparation for customer visits (Deadline for weekly schedules).Staying abreast of sales and product information by attending regular training and seminars.Submitting weekly call reports and completing all relevant administration.Gathering information to support accurate forecasting and updating the relevant PM's weekly.Ensuring conditions of sale are always updated.Adhering to Rules of Procedure (ROP's) at all times.Adhering to Company Standard Operating Procedures & Policies at all times.Ensuring that customers adhere to the service level agreements.Assisting in selling short-dated stock (where applicable).Maintaining Good Housekeeping Practices in area of responsibility.Communicating with customers, providing advice and handling customer queries.Maintaining and achieving profitability and a good pricing structure.Please note that subsequent to the screening and shortlisting process, all further communication will be entered into, only with the shortlisted candidates
