Job Purpose: The Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and fostering long-term relationships. This role involves maintaining strong connections within the business and with clients to drive business growth and retention. Qualifications & Experience Required:A minimum of 5 years of related experience, with a preference for candidates with Technical Broking experienceA relevant degree is preferredNQF5 certificationNQF4 in Short Term InsuranceRE5 certificationFAIS credits (120 credits) Key Responsibilities: Client Portfolio Management & Sales:Manage a portfolio of clients, focusing on growth (organic, new business, upselling, cross-selling), retention, and maintenance.Conduct regular client meetings, documenting all interactions and discussions.Provide expert advice to clients, explaining policies to protect their assets and minimize financial risks.Ensure compliance with FAIS requirements, including maintaining accurate documentation and client records of advice.Prepare and present quotes.Assist with claims management and technical broking tasks.Support rate and insurer negotiations.Handle renewals and endorsements.Manage the unpaid premium process. Risk Management:Stay informed about industry changes and updates in the insurance sector.Act as a compliance advocate, ensuring adherence to all procedures and FAIS regulations.Effectively manage client relationships to minimize business risk and avoid Professional Indemnity claims. Claims & Technical Broking:Assume full accountability for client claims.Collaborate closely with the Claims team on all relevant claims.Support the Technical Broker in completing procedures, policies, and documentation.Provide clear and detailed instructions to the Technical Broker.Guide clients through the Risk Survey Requirements/Improvements process, offering assistance to the Technical Broker as neededDesired SkillsInsurance IndustryAccountabilityComplianceDocumentation
