Overview
We are excited to announce that our South African team is rapidly growing, and we are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Account Executive to join us on this journey. This role will report to the VP of Account Management and work alongside our New York-based Account Management team. This individual will have the opportunity to support key accounts, drive engagements from start to finish, and maintain seamless communication with clients and internal teams.
There is potential for this role to be involved with and support the agency's new business efforts, which is an exciting growth opportunity.
What you'll be doing
Client Relationship Support

Report into the VP of Account Management and work with the team to develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with our clients.
Assist in ensuring that the client's needs are met, and their expectations exceeded.
Support client communications to convey key project information and changes.
Contribute to the development of client-facing materials, such as meeting agendas, presentations, and project briefs.
Attend client calls as a key support team member, and follow up with meeting notes, action items, and next steps.
Help ensure client engagement and onboarding processes are seamless and efficient.

Project Support

Work across multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with various internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of projects that adhere to the briefs.
Support internal communications to convey key client information, feedback, and changes.
Review all outgoing deliverables to ensure they meet client expectations.
Attend weekly internal status meetings to share key updates and provide support with follow-ups and action items.
Reflect key project updates and meeting recaps in the agency's project management platform.

Business Development + Account Expansion Support

Gain deep understanding of the agency's capabilities, services, and processes in order to support business development with current and prospective clients.
Generate new project proposals / SOWs.
Support new business pitches and presentations, when appropriate.

Job Location

Cape Town (2 days in the office located in the CBD, 3 days remote).

What makes you qualified

Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Advertising, Marketing or Business Administration.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in an advertising and marketing role. Experience at a multi-disciplinary, integrated agency is a huge plus.
Experienced in Microsoft 365 programs.
Familiar with Monday.com or a similar project management platform.
Ability to maintain a hybrid of New York / South Africa working hours (6am – 3pm Eastern Time // 12pm – 9pm SAST), Monday through Friday.
An excellent verbal and written communicator.
A creative problem solver and critical thinker.
Attentive to details, no matter how big or small.
Capable of working effectively across multiple projects and teams.
Comfortable being part of a fast-paced agency environment.
