Key ResponsibilitiesBuilding up a product/customer database per product under the portfolio.Building up knowledge about how products are traded on the international front as well as what outside elements affect the availability of these products.Identifying the opposition and acquiring in-depth knowledge about their company, product, source and pricing, etc.Having regular contact with the company regarding samples, pricing, customer requests, tenders, and other day-to-day issues.Utilizing a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales and procurement to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.Managing company and independent customers' stock nationally (Transfer of stock from DBN to JHB when new stock arrives; bulk stock reconciliation weekly to the company).Managing stock holding and lead times with company clients during a product changeover phase to avoid excess stock and potential stockouts.
