Accommodation Manager

A wine estate in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and dedicated Accommodation Manager to oversee all aspects of the property's operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, excellent interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations, including reservations, check-ins/outs, guest services, and promotions.
Manage all financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
Coordinate housekeeping, maintenance, and other operational departments to maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall guest house standards.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the guest house and attract new customers.
Recruit, train, and manage staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
Comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Analyze guest feedback and reviews to enhance service quality.
Establish relationships with local businesses and community organizations to increase the guest house's visibility.
Manage the online bookings calendar, ensuring availability and smooth coordination.
Purchase daily essentials for cleaning and breakfast services.
Coordinate with laundry services and ensure stock control for all necessary supplies.
Inspect guest rooms daily to ensure readiness for check-ins.
Handle emergency situations efficiently and professionally.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Guest House Manager, Hotel Manager, or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of hotel management software and online booking systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage and uplift staff.
Strong financial management, budgeting skills, and attention to detail.
Experience in recruiting, training, and managing teams to deliver high levels of service.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
