Job Title: Assistant Accountant - half day - Cape Town Location: City of Cape Town, Cape Town, Bellville Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Primary Industry: Accounting Secondary Industry: Accounting Salary: ZAR15000 - ZAR20000 Per month Job Duties: Assist in preparing financial statements and reports Reconcile bank statements and accounts Process invoices and expenses Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting Support senior accountants with day-to-day tasks Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes Required Qualifications: Relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Education: Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting role Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of accounting principles and practises Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) Experience with financial analysis and reporting Working Conditions: Office-based role in Cape Town Standard working hours with occasional overtime during busy periods Collaborative work environment
