CORE FUNCTIONSTo offer guidance and assistance to an Academic Programme Leader with regards to a specific academic program.
This position entails a variety of responsibilities geared toward ensuring the student success and academic excellence of the program, as well as assisting with the broader school with initiatives towards the growth of students and the institution.
Furthermore, the position requires commitment towards supporting the management of a program, which will include the subsequent facets:
Program Management and LeadershipProgram Planning and AdministrationProgram Admission and DeliveryStakeholder Engagement, Development, and RecognitionProgram IntelligenceProgramme GovernanceProgramme Cycle Reviews and Programme ImprovementCORE FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:Programme Management and Leadership (within the confines of MANCOSA's vision, mission, and strategy)Coordinate the development and continuous improvement of programme teaching and learning and the programme assessment strategyAssist with measuring graduate attributes through coordination between the APL and studentsAssist with research on opportunities to advance the school's programme offering and strategyProgramme Planning and Administration in collaboration with Institutional PlanningLiaise with academic administrators regarding academic readinessCreate and monitor academic administrators progress trackersAssist the Academic Programme Leader (APL) with recruitment and appointment of suitable academic deliverablesFacilitate webinarsCoordinate Community Engagement initiatives and activitiesAssist with planning and coordination of academic events for internal and external staffAlign students with Programme specific career guidance in collaboration with Career CentreEngage with relevant stakeholders to request information on Student assessment performanceAssist the APL with programme benchmarking and development of new programmesAssist with identification and intervention for students at riskAssist with module content review and updateCoordinate data and reports for internal and external quality assurance effortsQUALIFICATIONEssential qualification: Master's degree specialising in international business (NQF Level 9)ESSENTIALMinimum 2 years' experience in higher Education/ AcademicEXPERIENCE AND SKILLSDemonstrate high-quality academic knowledgeProvide guidance in the evolving education spectrumSupporting and Co-operatingCreating and ConceptualisingOrganising and CoordinatingAdapting and CopingReporting and AnalysisDigital LiteracyADVANTAGES2-3 years relevant international business working experienceMinimum 2 years' experience in Learner Management System administration/coordinationGENERALTo demonstrate academic acumen and provide relevant expertise within the scope of Business Excellence.
