The IIE's Vega, Cape Town Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Academic Navigator (Lecturer) for the second semester in the following module:
Introduction to Research for Human Sciences
Introduction to Research for IT
Job Purpose:
Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.
Key Performance Areas:
Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed. Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Honours Degree that includes a research methodology subject with exposure to a range of research methodologies e.g., both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methodologies. A research dissertation/project in the discipline of the programme on which the module is being offered and to which the lecturer will be assigned.
Master's Degree will be an advantage.
