A Bookkeeper

A financial company, based in George, is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team ASAP.Requirements:Education:Diploma or certificate in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.Additional certifications (e.g., ICB Bookkeeping) are advantageous.Experience:23 years of proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.Technical Skills:Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or Pastel).Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.Familiarity with payroll processing software (optional but beneficial).Financial Knowledge:Understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.Knowledge of VAT submissions and compliance (if applicable in your region).Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable.Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.Prepare financial statements and reports.Process invoices, payments, and payroll.Monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations.Soft Skills:Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Good communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members.Ability to work independently and in a team.Apply today!Salary: RR10 000 Job Reference #: 1146431
