The following sport coaches are needed:
NetballSoccerRugbySoftballTennisCricketHockeyThe requirements are: A qualification or certification in a specific sport or coaching from a recognised sports federationDiploma or Degree in Sport ScienceA Certified Coaching Certification as may be required by a relevant sports federation i.e.
Boksmart in Rugby3 years as sports coachThe responsibilities are: Sports planningReview the coaching timetable and plan own rosterManage communications to parents regarding relevant sports activitiesManage the process of indemnity and permission slips for all sporting events that are being coachedProvide input into recommendations for sport awardsCoaching of sports and health and safety Coaching in own sporting disciplineMentor learners in proper match etiquette and rulesOfficiation at matchesOversee sport activities from a health and safety perspectivePerform checks of equipment and fields prior to matches for any hazardsSelect learners and assign to teamsPhysical education Teach PE classes in line with the CAPS documentParticipate in talent identification and skills developmentRun term assessments for the term as per the rubricsCompile PE results for termly reports including personalized commentsSports events and tours Attend relevant tours, camps and sporting eventsAssign teams on day of sporting eventsAssign student helpers to duties on the dayMake visitors feel welcomeTake register of learners leaving the schoolCoordinate return slips to confirm attendance of matchesFind substitutes and replacementsRunning of the sports events during the day including managing the schedule, making announcements and making sure the programme runs according to planPlacing of catering orders for coaches, parents and learnersThe successful candidates will start on 01 January 2025.
