2025 Teacher Development Programme – ECD PresentersThe Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy was created in 2005, a pioneering initiative of St Stithians College to provide educational growth opportunities for students and teachers based in public schools in greater Johannesburg. The Academy has evolved around four programmes: a Teacher Intern Programme, a Saturday School from Grades 9 to 12, a Teacher Development Programme, and Thandulwazi Scholarships to attend St Stithians. Each of these programmes has a significant educational impact, operating in synergy with St Stithians College.
Applications are invited from qualified and experienced individuals who believe that they have the required skills and competencies to take on these exciting contract positions for the 2025 Thandulwazi Teacher Development Programme available from 1 February 2025. The minimum requirements for these positions are: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education / Family and Consumer Science / Psychology / Social Work / Sociology or a related fieldA minimum of 5 years' experience working with young childrenKnowledge and education regarding developmentally appropriate practicesExcellent oral and written communication skills, competent interpersonal skills, and strong organisational skillsAbility to communicate using technology, develop reports and track dataPreferred additional requirements: Knowledge and expertise in promoting growth and development in children for any of the developmental domains – language and literacy, health and physical development, approaches to learning, social emotional development, creative arts, science, mathematicsExperience in conducting assessmentsKnowledge of programme quality rating scalesExperience and/or education in adult learningProof of registration with SACE supported by a sexual offender's clearance certificateProven experience in educational leadership or managementKey Responsibilities: Develop and deliver dynamic training sessionsFoster an environment of learning and professional growthTo apply please click on the following link before the closing date of 04 December 2024.
