PURPOSE OF ROLE Produce quality technical outputs which satisfy all requirements (Clients, Codes and Standards) by adhering to internal engineering processes. The position is a 100% technical role.
The candidate will form part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team within Lesedi's Engineering Department. Lesedi focuses on Engineering, Procurement and Construction projects within the Power Generation, Mining, Oil & Gas and Industrial sectors. The candidate will be responsible for the compilation and review of Process and Mechanical designs for complex piping related systems found within the applicable industrial sectors.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Ensure the complete design process is followed and engineering outputs are produced on timeProvide input to tender / enquiries & development of design concepts including estimation of workload and BoQsCompile and review industrial designsEnsure engineering outputs are technically correct and in accordance with the appropriate codes and standardsEnsure that the desired outputs in respect of the above are achievedProvide inputs into planningEnsure technical scope control on allocated projectsDevelop and review equipment and material specifications
Strong interpersonal skills with the client and internal relationships. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor degree: Mechanical Engineering or equivalentMinimum of 5 years post qualification related mechanical/power engineering experienceRegistered as a PR Eng is preferable.Experience within the power engineering and associated infrastructure would be idealSite related experience beneficial
