Job Responsibilities: Financial Strategy & Advisory: Develop accounting strategies that align with client business objectives. Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and identify opportunities for efficiency and growth. Offer support on technical issues related to Financial and Management Accounts, including variance/trend analysis and key driver identification. Technical Accounting: Interpret and apply complex accounting standards for accurate financial reporting. Lead accounting policy development and ensure the correct application of accounting treatments in client projects. Provide guidance on advanced technical accounting matters and prepare position papers for clients and internal stakeholders. Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee financial statement preparation and regulatory reporting for clients. Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards and tax regulations. Stay informed on financial standards and regulatory updates by participating in training and workshops. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for accounting-related needs. Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and deliver customized solutions. Manage client engagements, ensuring timely delivery and high client satisfaction. Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff and accounting specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Lead accounting teams on client projects, ensuring efficient workflow and quality control. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA(SA) or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 5 years in a senior finance role.
