Our client is seeking a Workshop Manager to join their team, based in East London.
Successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the workshop, managing a team of technicians and mechanics, and maintaining high-quality standards for all repairs and maintenance work. This role will be critical in ensuring that fleet vehicles are well-maintained and in top working condition, minimising downtime and maximising their productivity. 
Minimum Requirements:-
Must be a qualified Diesel MechanicMinimum of 5 years experience in fleet management or automotive repairMinimum of 3 years working in a management positionStrong leadership and management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in computer software and maintenance management systemsKnowledge of safety regulations and proceduresAbility to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesValid driver's licence and clean driving recordDuties:-
Manage workshop operations:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality controlMonitor and analyse workshop performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutionsTeam management: lead and motivate a team of technicians and mechanics to ensure they are working efficiently and effectivelyBudget management: Monitor and manage workshop expenses to ensure they are within budgetInventory management:Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that all necessary tools and equipment are available for use and that all stock levels are adequateMaintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, including costs and parts usedQuality control: implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all work meets the company's standards and expectationsTraining and development: Identify training needs, conducting performance appraisals and providing coaching and development opportunities for workshop staff to improve their skills and knowledgeHealth and Safety: Ensure that all workshop operations are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulationsCustomer service:Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely and quality serviceCommunicate effectively with other departments to coordinate fleet maintenance and repairsDevelop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliersReporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on workshop operations, including productivity, expenses, and any issues or concerns
