Warehouse Supervisor ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring that all products are handled with care as per the standards and procedures which have been trained to you. Refer to food safety manual for relevant procedures.Follow the Personnel Hygiene Code of ConductAttend training when provided and ensure that you understand the training content.Inspect vehicles and ensure they are kept clean and within specificationComplete all required administrative recordsCommunicate to management any concerns related to the safety and efficient operation of equipment/ vehicles.Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean and tidy and that all Food Safety measures are followedEnsure that the area directly outside of the warehouse is kept clean and tidyActively participate in the Company Continuous Improvement Program and educational events as required.Perform other duties when required.Check orders upon loading and record product details on load sheets, ensure the right products are dispatched, loaded and labels checked.Stock Control – inform management / QC of any non-conformances, missing stock, stock issuesStock control – Weekly and monthly stock takes to be conducted and recorded on Palladium. Investigate & Inform management of any discrepancies / concernsStock Control – receiving deliveries from suppliers. Check stock and paperwork is in order and ensure the paperwork is passed through to Accounts / Administration/ QCGRV the stock into the system using the Goods Received system on PalladiumStock Control – manage the issuing of product to production is checked, recorded, and labelledStock Control – manage the receiving of product from production is checked, recorded, and labelledRoute and manage the driver's day to day duties and activitiesWork closely with QC, Sales Support to ensure efficiencies and forecasts are metCheck refrigeration for main Fridge and both reefers temperature and condition dailyEnsure the fridge is kept clean and managed in an orderly fashion and all products are clearly labelled and grouped according to FIFOReport any deviations that could affect the safety of food items.Complete return sheets for returns approved for upliftment and include all product expiry dates and quantitiesManage Stock levels effectively by use of forecasting system on PalladiumOversee and supervise the UFI Depot and Warehouse Fridge Stock ControlEnsure all area's within warehouse areas are kept clean and tidy. All surfaces to be always kept unobstructed and clear. All tools and machinery to be stored away and kept safe.Excess boxes to be disposed of as quickly as possibleDaily checks to be done on the Generator. Oil and Water changes to be implemented frequently. Records to be maintainedSpray ball to be run daily as per schedule. Cleaning schedule to be adhered toEnsure Opening and Closing procedures are followedAssist in recruitment of new staff required within your departmentManage warehouse and logistical staff relating to attendance, disputes, internal communications etcHR – Receive and pre-approve leave requests for managements approval for staff under your administrationHR – coach, train and follow the disciplinary code of conduct with staff under your administrationHR – Complete internal probationary checklist documentation for staff under your administrationStock rotation and FIFO procedures are followed and maintainedEnsure the safe handling, transportation, and delivery of food items according to food safety requirement.Ensure Vehicle licenses and personnel drivers licenses are kept up to date, inform Management of renewals dueEnsure the drivers have a valid driver's license for the specific category of vehicle used by the Employer. This will apply to a driver assigned to a specific vehicle, and to a driver who uses a business vehicle intermittently.Ensure the Driver signs a checklist indicating the condition of the vehicle at the time of receiving it and every day thereafter.Report any damage or accidents immediately.Ensure Vehicles are kept up to date with services
