We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Fleet Administrator to oversee/administer the TSU vehicle fleet at Sibanye Cooke Mine, Randfontein. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of all vehicles utilized and ensure that all vehicles are safe and well-functioning.
The ideal candidate will reside in close proximity to the Sites, be well-organized and able to optimize the use of vehicles while reducing operating costs. Good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive relations at all levels within the organization and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool.
The goal is to ensure our vehicle fleet is problem-free and safe so that employees can focus all their energy and time on service delivery.
A Vehicle Fleet Administrator typically focuses their efforts on performing vehicle inspections, scheduling vehicle repairs, and maintenance check-ups to ensure their company has the maximum number of vehicles to perform operational duties.
Duties and responsibilities:

Weekly inspection of all vehicles, logbooks, and petrol summaries.
Submission of monthly vehicle report & fuel returns.
Reporting accidents/damage to vehicles within 24 hours.
Limit losses of and damage to all vehicles utilized.
100% Fuel Card transaction submission for certification/approval and submission.
Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles.
Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed.
Overseeing vehicles, drivers, and related assets.
Ensuring safe and cost-effective utilization of vehicles.
Administration and reporting of fuel consumption and costs.
Ensuring compliance with TSU, industry, and regulatory standards.
Monitoring drivers' safety and performance.
Administrating vehicle licensure and registration.
Ensuring all drivers have proper licensure and up-to-date training.
Providing reports to management.
Ensure compliance with applicable MSHA, OSHA, national, local, and company safety laws, regulations, policies, and procedures onsite and at any remote job site.
Oversee and monitor preventive maintenance work and perform quality assurance audits.
Ensure maintenance records for fleet are accurate and up to date.
Utilize the TSG fleet management information system to effectively monitor and report on the fleet.

Qualifications Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 5 years of vehicle fleet administration or related experience required.
At least 3 years of fleet maintenance management experience with a proven track record of delivering strong operational metrics (e.g., hours/kilometers per vehicle service and vehicle downtime).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Verbal, written, and comprehension communication skills with the ability to work alongside team members in stressful situations.
Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently in a diverse and challenging environment.
Willingness to work outside normal business hours if necessary.
Proficient in computer skills, including database administration, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, ensuring maintenance tasks are not overlooked and minor site problems do not become major site problems.
Must be able to understand and adhere to the safety requirements of this position.
Expert knowledge of best driving, vehicle maintenance, and other industry practices.
Basic math and data analysis skills.
Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed.
Ability to set and monitor a budget.
Exceptional organization, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Keen attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push, and pull objects.
Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather.
Ability to repeatedly reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting.
Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces.

Candidate must reside in close proximity to Sibanye Stillwater Cooke Mine, Randfontein/Westonaria.
Remuneration: Negotiable, depending on skills and experience.
