RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment installation, repairs, and maintenance in Decline infrastructure Workshop procedures, installation, and maintenance
Legal requirement as per Mine Health and Safety act
Installation and maintenance of machinery including HT switchgear
Maintenance of quality engineering standards
Knowledge of environmental, health and safety standards
Working knowledge of the Mine Health & Safety Act and Regulations
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Advise the responsible Mechanical Engineering Foreman of any unsafe conditions
Participate in routine workplace safety activities.
Be willing to work overtime as and when required
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
Red Seal Qualified Millwright.
Flameproofing Certification is a requirement.
At least 4 years experience.
Sound experience in handling mechanical & electrical tasks.
Logical reasoning skills are required for problem solving.
Experience with Underground Mining Equipment.
Load Haul dumper experience.
Rebuild of Mine machinery experience.
Hydraulic Experience.
Heavy duty Machinery Experience.
Ability to work under pressure.
Must be a Team player.

REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12/FLC Level 4 or Technical Trade Specific N3 Compulsory. Certified Competent trade as an Electrician (section 13 or Section 26D). At least 5 years mining experience in surface and underground operations. Be sound in winch installation and maintenance. Must have good communication skills.
Must be good and/or fluent in English. Valid Medium Voltage certificate in reticulation systems will be advantageous. A sound understanding of AC and DC drives and motors. Ability to do fault finding on electrical intricate circuits. Basic knowledge of overhead lines. Basic understanding of medium voltage protection schemes. Ability to carry out medium voltage switching. Ability to read electrical drawings. Sound understanding of D.O.L system. Must provide own transport. Must have a driver's license.
Experience on Continuous Miners is a requirement.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: R165,00 - R420,00 per hour
