Responsibilities:Identify, evaluate and propose bench opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and customer value proposition.Research ideas for process optimization and coordinate resources to design and develop value-added solutions.Facilitate the implementation of continuous improvement projects.Support effective implementation and commissioning of solutions aimed at optimizing performance capacity.Plan, coordinate and report on process trials.Manage projects from inception to implementation.Facilitate Capex development, implementation and the procurement of required resources.Participate in root cause or other analyses and propose appropriate corrective measures.Record lessons learned and develop best practices for knowledge management purposes.Ensure compliance with the OHS Act and other legal requirements and maintain ISO system requirements as needed.Assist with technical solutions to Safety and Environment issues.Conduct HAZOPs/Risk Assessments as required to highlight risks associated with certain operations.Recommend and audit control measures for permit and legal compliance related to process plant and environment.Assist in Mill and Plant shutdowns as requested.Assist with general management duties as requested.Custodian of the Quality System including investigating internal and external quality complaints.Benchmarking and aligning with best practices.Budget, fixed and variable cost control.Your Profile:BTech / BSc / BEng Mechanical Engineering or equivalent tertiary education in the industry-specific discipline.Project Management and relevant Problem-Solving training advantageous.Experience in high-speed processing.Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations.Project management and optimization work advantageous.We Offer:Duration: Permanent.Get in Touch:We strive to create a culture that inspires our people to reach their full potential.
