Provide line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring operational targets, KPIs, and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer. Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.KEY RESPONSABILITIESDaily operations managementa. Receiving procedureb. Warehousing procedurec. Inventory Management (daily recon/stock take of W&B Goods).d. Dispatch proceduree. Delivery proceduref. Debrief procedureg. Returns procedureh. POD vetting and scanning procedurei. System application and maintenance (Freight ware)j. Investigating process breach and provide a detailed report, Ownership of daily load planner, (i.e. follow up with operations for fleet numbers and ETA's)k. Smooth functioning of the warehouse facilityForklift Managementa. Ensure that the pre-inspection trip sheet is completed at the beginning of each shiftb. Ensure forklifts are charged and batteries maintained accordingly to the training providedc. Report of faults to respective service providers Incident/Accident investigations conductedd. Daily analysis of FMX is sent to management dailyWarehouse Management a. General depot and warehouse maintenance ISO and business management systemb. ISO and business management systemProfit and lossProfit and Loss Site overtime Utilization Vehicle consumptions General expenses (electricity, water etc.) Control of damages (Racking, forklift, driving incidents etc.)People and staff managementStaff Discipline Staff engagement (meetings, motivations etc.) Succession planning (admin + Blue collar) Wages queries Shift Planning (Correct number of staff for the shift)Human resources Discipline of Drivers failing to follow their working procedures i.e. not parking with their respective chock-blocks in place, not wearing their respective PPE, not filling in their pre-trip inspections in correctly on log sheets. Report all Line-haul drivers whom are not adhering to the site rules, i.e. not wearing the correct uniform on site. Discipline of all staff members (floor staff) on site whom do not wear the correct PPE.Maintenance ManagementSystem is maintained within your department/division. Weekly follow-ups with OPS Team (Ops Controller, Ops Supervisor, Ops Team Leader) on follow-up to completion of all maintenance issues to be completed on site. Set-up a weekly Maintenance Meeting (Site: Fleet and Operations) Ad hoc tasks as required ISO 9001-2015 knowledge & commitmentAny other duties or ad hock tasksAs requested by Supervisor/Team Leader/Management/Executive. Continuous improvement of skills, knowledge & service delivery. WE ARE LOOKING FORA bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or a related field would be advantageous Proven experience in a team leader role within a warehouse environmentKnowledge of warehouse safety regulations and experience in implementing safety protocolsFamiliarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and proficiency in using relevant software applicationsStrong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)Excellent written and verbal communication skillStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong managerial skills and business acumen Willing to work long hours and commitment to achieving operational outcomes.Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
