Senwes is seeking the services of a Tax Accountant who will be responsible for compliance, structuring and computation to Senwes Group in order to comply with regulatory requirements as well as taking ownership of specific corporate projects. Financial reporting and monitoring of control environment.
Tax Compliance and Reporting:
Plan annual tax return, prepare and coordinate tax packs / working papers.
Manage the follow up of assessments, refunds & payments.
Assist with the resolving of tax enquiries from SARS.
Preparing responses and liaison with SARS.
Provide overview of statutory requirements.
Determine operational requirements for compliance, manage compliance and follow up on outstanding matters.
Ensure compliance to relevant tax acts.
Assist with bi-annual tax risk meetings IFRS reporting.
Ensure accuracy of monthly & annual reporting Tax Management.
BBBEE Compliance and Oversight:
Assist with developing BEE strategic management mandate to implement BBBEE.
Review BBBEE compliance on regular basis.
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
Scrutinize financial entries on SAP per cost centre.
Do correctional journals where necessary.
Clearing of balance sheet accounts & internal vendors/customers.
Identify areas where cost savings can be implemented and identify deviations from best practice and recommend possible changes.
Handle ad hoc tasks and queries.
Assist with budgets and forecasts.
Identify system problems and suggest solutions.
Continuous maintenance of SAP reporting.
Generate financial reports on SAP and distribute to the relevant key receivers.
Compile the monthly FD report with relevant information for EXCO to enhance business decision making.
Scrutinize expenses for incorrect GL and cost allocations and identify, investigate and report variances to budget.
Provide monthly information for Groups risk report.
Compile Tax pack and distribute to tax accountant, and compile audit reports.
Compile notes to the annual financial statements and assist with compilation of group company's annual financial statements.
Providing necessary information to auditors and assist in relevant enquiries.
KPI benchmark with other companies in the same industries.
Analyse top expense and benchmark with other companies in the same industries.
Handle enquiries and ad hoc requests by management.
Qualifications: Registered or in the process of being a registered CA (articles completed)/ MCom in Tax.
Requirements: At least 3 years relevant Tax and accounting experience.
